About Cami
Hi, I'm glad you're here!
I'm a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Illinois and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Iowa. I am also a CSAT Candidate with IITAP. I earned both my master's and doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University in 2011 and have been working in the mental health field since 2006. I have dedicated my career to helping people grow, heal and thrive.
Over the years, I have been fortunate to serve in many different roles, including:
-
Outpatient therapist at a community mental health center in Illinois
-
Lead therapist in an inpatient hospital in Illinois
-
School-based counselor in California and Missouri
-
Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant
-
Wellness counselor at Eastern New Mexico University
-
Chemical dependency therapist in both inpatient and outpatient programs
-
Adjust professor in the Master's Counseling Program at Missouri Valley College
Each role has shaped how I show up for the people I work with: compassionate, real, and focused on meeting you where you are. These diverse experiences have given me a wide lens to understand the challenges people face at every stage of life.
In 2025, I expanded my work with beginning my Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) certification a passion that began for me in graduate school, with IITAP.
In 2026, I became a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional-II. This certification equips me to work with individuals who have experienced chronic, layered trauma that impacts emotional regulation, relationships, identity, and overall well-being. My training includes working with complex presentations such as attachment wounds and deeply rooted internal conflicts that often show up in behaviors, relationships, and patterns clients feel stuck in.
Beyond my professional life, I'm a wife and proud mom of four boys - including twins! Much of my free time is spent at the baseball field or golf course. I love traveling, being creative, and writing books. And fun fact: cleaning is my favorite coping skill. When life feels busy, nothing helps me reset like a fresh, organized space.
Whether I'm working with a child, adult, couple, or family my mission is the same: to support growth, resilience, and balance in every stage of life.
